I'm not sure it's possible, however. Do you mean the app keeps running in the background even when closed? If the icon only appears when using the app and it disappears when you close it, then isn't that as expected. If the icon is permanently visible even when Temu isn't being used, then consider limiting its background usage. Note that this may impede Temus operation.
Settings>apps>tap on Temu app>Battery>restricted
Settings>apps>tap on Temu app >mobile data>toggle off allow background data usage.
Also, check Temu apps settings for anything related to background usage.
