Well, Samsung uses Google services. For example, the text messaging app, Google Messages, isn't Samsung's. I think there are other examples too, which I don't readily recall. So, I think it is relevant to ask, and I want to see what people think.
That I don't know. When I got the S24 Plus nearly 11 months ago, it came with Google Messages. That isn't Samsung Messages; it's Google in that regard. So does that mean Google owns it or does Samsung - I have no idea.
But I hope other memebers can help with advice and guidance.
11 months ago I think Samsung was still developing their messages app, that is not longer the case so everyone was recommended to use Google Messages. You can use whatever you can find on the stores, at one point there was few decent ones out there, not sure anymore as use Google Messages.
Samsung uses Android under licence from Google. Not ownership and has no control over it, they may have some influences but Google doesn't have to do anything it doesn't want to
