The feature should be present on all phones with One UI 8.0. I have tested it on A56 5G, S25 series and S24 series.

Private album feature is available on One UI 8.0. It creates an album which needs unlocking to show its content. As its name indicates, keeps all your pictures private within the gallery. There is no need to leave the app and use the private folder.

To enable the feature, we need to enable Gallery labs first:

  • Open Gallery
  • Tap hamburger menu (three horizontal parallel line, bottom right)
  • Tap settings
  • Scroll down and tap “About Gallery”
  • Tap repeatedly version number until message “Gallery labs is enabled” appears. (it can take several taps.)

To enable “Private album”

  • Open Gallery
  • Tap hamburger menu (three horizontal parallel line, bottom right)
  • Tap settings
  • Scroll down and tap “Gallery labs”
  • Toggle on “Private album”

After enabling “Private album” a new option will appear on the hamburger menu.

Hi, I added a photo to my private album, but now I can't see it anywhere in the menu. How do I fix it? I've already cleared the app cache.

Did you forcibly stop the the Gallery App before clearing cache?

Try restarting the phone as well.

Yes, I stopped the app and then cleared the cache. I just discovered the problem is with my Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. I also enabled the private album option on my Galaxy S25 Ultra, and I can see the private album on that, but it doesn't appear on the tablet. I've already rebooted it.

Is the tablet on One UI 8.0?

The private album is a feature of One UI 8.0. Tablets could use the secure folder, but I am not clear whether private album is also available for tablets.

Just to be clear, you cannot see the option "Private album" when tapping the burger menu, can you?

To see the private album content. I just tap the burger menu, tap Private album, fingerprint requested, and the content is shown.

Hi whats the best way to clean the charging point. Toothpicks, air pressure sprays?

Hi @KAB1

I would not use any object to clean the USB port. An air pressure spray seems more appropriate. However, I would recommend an authorised repair centre, specially if the device is under warranty.
