Samsung Tv App

Opening the TV app I'm met with the "you have to be 16 or older" my samsung account has the right DOB my Google play has the right DOB so why would it not let me use the app? Doesn't make any sense to me and I can't find anywhere that will let me input the right information anyway... Anyone have a fix for this please let me know.

I think it's the profile on your phone you need to adjust.

Go to settings

-samsung account / profile
- profile info

Then adjust the DOB

Which profile do you mean? If you mean my samsung account that has the right information, I'm not sure what else it could be 🤷🏻

Did you also set the DOB on your Google Account? I assume that TV is a Google App and it must be using the Google account.

Go into Settings -> Accounts and backup -> Manage accounts 

Tap Google account -> Personal info and check Birthday.

Clear all data and cache for the samsung tv app and setup again

Ended up in a chat with Samsung support. I must have misclicked something when setting up the terms and conditions. They told me to do the same thing and try again, which ended up working.

To fix the 16+ issue AND reject all vendors access to data do the following...
1. First uninstall and reinstall if you are unable to get past this already.
2. When you startup and it asks you about vendors click 'Configure'
3. When it popsup with vendor approval DO NOT press reject all
4. Scroll down and deselect 'Store and/or access...' and 'Personalised advertising...'
5. Scroll back up
6. Click on 'Vendor's List' at the top
7. Click on 'Allow all content' to select all, then again to deselect all
8. Click on Google vendors at the top
9. Repeat step 7
10. Click 'Confirm Choices' at very bottom
11. YOU WIN!
