Messages(like txt) voice notes no longer working past 2 days ? Any help please?

Hi,

I have a samsung s24. Dont use whats app, but use messages (white box with blue message thing in it google I believe).

Always send voice notes. And suddenly started crashing the app every time you try to attach it. So I tried to manually via the voice recorder then share it that way and same outcome. Never had any issue before. I tried to delete cache and data, then I could not longer even click the voice note icon, yet I could share the voice recorder message. This morning same as before can do neither. Any help or anyone had similar and know how I can fix this annoying issue? Thanks a lot.

Try uninstall and reinstalling the app.

Wouldnt i lose all my chats and all my pictures etc? Thanks

No, uninstalling and reinstalling Google Messages on your Samsung phone will not cause you to lose your messages or pictures. SMS/MMS and RCS messages are stored in the device's system database, not the app itself. Similarly, photos and other media are typically stored in your phone's storage or backed up to your Google account or Samsung Cloud.
I've done it before but with Samsung messages, did not lose anything. You cleared the data which you didn't lose your messages or photos.

Oh i have managed in google play. Seems to be working. Hope it continues. Thanks

Sadly it's not just gone back to how it was : ( everytime you try to add a picture it force shuts down the app. So basically nothing now works apart from sending texts : (

Just cannot for the life of me work out what is going on. No one else seems to even try to help on this forum about from you.
