S24U speaker quality is worse than S23U

The quality of sound played back through the S23U is fuller and richer sounding than on my new S24U. I played back the exact same audio file on the same player through both phones and tried many other songs too but the S24U always sounds slightly worse.

I have tested this with 2 different S23U's against 2 different S24U's

Please can people test this before returning their trade in S23U?

Have you enabled/disabled Dolby Atmos equally on both devices?

Yes, I've enabled it on both devices and checked to make sure all other audio settings are the same.

I've said exactly the same regarding my S24 plus. It sounds utter trash. More muffled if anything. I believe the stupid tiny speaker slit is the problem. It needs to be bigger to let more noise out but instead is nearly covered. The speaker slit/grill is no bigger than the charging port. I hate it. Returning my phone tomorrow anyway because of horrible 5g/4g issues which is probably exynos related. Think I'll play it safe with the S23 ultra.

The speakers sound great on both devices. They sound slightly different but with the test sound in diagnostics I can't say which is better.

When playing music however there is a slight but very clear improvement in the speaker quality on the S24U compared to the S23U.

Well mine should be arriving tomorrow, so I'll have to test first hand then.

Thank you, I tested with a 320kbps version of Nara by E.S. Posthumus on both devices, but you should be able to hear the differences through any music.

I compared mine and thought it was an improvement with the S24 Ultra to be honest. I'm no sound expert though

My issue with the speaker is why is it on the bottom left? As while playing games the hand covers it.
