I've never really used 8k recording but I'm just curious, if I record in 8k and then I want to edit it and I export it as 4k. Will the quality be better than the regular 4k or will it get worse or will there be no difference? Thanks

Hi @Haytch
It depends on the software that you are using to do the conversion. Upscaling will be always more of a challenge than downscaling, but resizing a video or picture might degrade the quality.
If using the phone 4K 60 fps could be better than 8K at 24, 8K does not support HDR.
Phones have come a long way when it comes to videos and photos, but dedicated good equipment for either activity is usually better and more expensive.

I think the question should be why? Why record at 8k only to reduce it to 4k? Why not record it at 4k no losses, etc.
