Annoying when you buy a new phone and it is not as good as your older phone.. S24 wifi issues is very disappointing. Apps will not work while connected via wifi anywhere.. got told to turn the 5hz wifi setting off.. am I to tell every home I go to and say that lol.. businesses.. you don't upgrade to downgrade grrrr

Hi guys, so I was also having WiFi issues on my S24Ultra.

I seemed to have resolved it by simply turning it off and on again.

I tried this several times in the past, but it did not work.

I came across a post from Samsung which states that you should wait at least 30 seconds before switching on the phone again. I tried this and it has been working now flawlessly for 48 hours!

Update: I reported the IPv6 issue through the Samsung Members app, and they've asked me to run a tcpdump on the device. I've followed the instructions and have just shared the output of the tcpdump with them. In the .pcap file it generated, I can clearly see that it's IPv6 which is the problem, as IPv4 is working just fine. I guess that's what they want to see in their investigation as well.

To be continued...

ICMPv6	118	Echo (ping) request id=0x110d, seq=2, hop limit=64 (no response found!)

Just got another update from Samsung Support. Apparently the latest Google Play System Update should fix the IPv6 issues:

For this kind of case, we've already rolled out a fix to keep device connected by ignoring the NUD failure from incomplete on-link IPv6 server, and rolled out via M-2023-10 train. I noticed the device in VOC was running on M-2023-08 train. The issue should be fixed when device upgrading to latest mainline train.

I've just done a Google Play System Update, and so far so good! Fingers crossed that this indeed fixes the issues 🤞🏼

Unfortunately, the issue is back. Installing the July security update also didn't help. Will try to keep the conversation with Samsung Support going.
