So my phone just auto installed the a new update for One UI version 7.0. I have been having issues with it all morning. Some of my widgets aren't working now. And worst yet, my wifi tethering doesn't work anymore. I literally can't do my work now. I've also noticed that my battery is draining a lot faster. I just got this phone to fix a battery problem. This is really annoying.

It's messed up a lot of stuff. I list all my phone contacts and it took me over an hour to get them back and stay in phone app.

What widgets. Maybe there are updates for them. Wipe phone cache partition

@Karmineone Welcome to the Samsung Community 😀

Some additional information, after the update your Device goes through the Battery usage learning cycle for optimisation again which can take up to 14 days. During this time there will be some impact on Battery.

You could reset the Battery stats. In Privacy/Security ensure Auto Blocker is turned off. In Samsung phone App Dial *#9900# then scroll down to battery stats reset. Tap on that and Restart your Device. Credit to  @lminvti  @Moiramon and @Piper123 who have also mentioned this fairly recently.

Try the other Troubleshooting for widgets issues  as mentioned by @Tourbillon De La Vie @such as clearing the cache partition which is recommended after updates. Some temporary cache files can become outmoded or corrupt. Your Data is intact with this process

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

I've never had any of that problem with the new update. The problem I have is no matter what charger I put on. And with the phone saying, it will take an hour to charge, I had the phone on for 6 hours.

And would only get to fifty percent battery if i'm lucky
