Hi,

Few days ago my S24 ultra came and to be honest I'm disappointed (apart from the problem with the screen and faded colors) I noticed that when notifications from Messenger, Snapchat and others appear, the phone only uses the bottom speaker and the sound quality is very low like on old phone from 10 years ago. My previous phones, 5 times cheaper, played 10 times better sound... Does anyone have a problem like mine?

Hope this simple tips help to make the things get fixed
.
Fix Notification Sounds
.
1. Even if your ringtone volume is high, it wouldn’t matter if notification volume is low. So you must check the notification volume level separately.

To do so, go to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume. Increase the slider next to Notifications by moving it to right.
.
2. Disable Mute or Vibration Mode
.
3. Disable Separate App Sound
Open Settings > Sounds and vibration > Separate app sound.
.
4. Disconnect Connected Bluetooth Devices
.
5. Check Watch Settings
Open the Wearable app and tap on Notifications.
.
6.Unmute Individual Contacts
Open the Samsung Messages app and find the contact whom you want to unmute.

Touch and hold the chat thread of the person. Tap on Notifications at the bottom to allow notifications
.
7.Check Individual App Notification Settings
To enable from phone settings, open Settings > Apps. Tap on the problematic app. Let’s say the Samsung Messages app. Tap on it. Go to Notifications. verify that Show notifications at the top are enabled. Next, tap on each notification category text such as General notifications, and enable it. Once inside a notification category, check the box next to Alert instead of Silent. Also, tap on Sound and make sure it doesn’t say Silent.

8. Disable Do Not Disturb Mode
To disable it, go to Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb.
.
9. Check Hearing Accessibility Setting
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing. Disable Mute all sounds.
.
10.Check Sleeping Apps
go to Settings > Battery (or Device care) > Background usage limits. Here you will find Sleeping apps and Deep sleeping apps. Remove the problematic app from there
.
11. Reset Settings

.To reset settings, go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset all settings.

My notification sound is lowest I can keep. Hate them like there is no tomorrow.

Or I just turn notifications off.

Doesn't it get annoying for you if the phone keeps on beeping like there is no tomorrow?

Thank you very much for all the tips but none of them fixed the problem. My problem is still there, just to be on the same page. I have all of my notifications set correctly and all of them are with sound that I set and with volume I prefer. The problem is that on any volume and in every secenario, notifications sound is very low quality and my device using only bottom speaker. I have tested the exact same apps sound on other devices in the family and my 24 Ultra sounds the worst...

It's not about whether I love them or hate them, a device for this kind of money shouldn't have such problems like mine. It should be as best as possible.

Agree it should work as expected out of the box..

The copy and pasted 11 steps above are not applicable. I am hoping its fixed in the upcoming updates

I agree with you both, @GoanGeek and @MaxGrey93

I hate the constant pinging of notifications, but I also think that this a premium device and it should behave as such.

This might be some of the teething problems that get sorted with future firmware releases. There are talks that Samsung upgraded the speakers. It will be interesting to revisit this issue after the first firmware upgrade.

Now I noticed that everytime when bottom speaker is working I can hear slight noise in the background of every sound played which is of course isnt present on any other devices.

Regarding to firmware update, is this confirmed that it will be issued tomorrow? I have one more week, if the dont fix it, I will be forced to return it as this is big downgrade for me.
