Looking for (available in UK) recommendations on a screen protector that doesn't cost like £8274849291625.

I saw Mous' hybrid protector & the application looked super easy. They sell at £12 yet for some reason they're not available for the S24 range.

Found another hybrid protector last night but the application looked a tad confusing compared to the Mous one and it was near £20. It was more the application process that put me off vs that price. I thought I'd come ask if anyone had a recommendation.

Also where on earth is the SIM tray on an S24+?
Maybe when it lands it'll become obvious but I was in town at the weekend & they had dummy phones out and I saw no SIM tray on the plus yet there were SIM trays on others. Seemed strange.

The sim card tray is on the bottom of the phone next to the USB-C charging port.

In regards to screen protectors there are some many manufacturers to choose from at varying prices.

First decision would be to go with a tpu plastic screen protector ir a tempered glass screen protector.

Some will affect the anti reflective display so it's not as anti reflective anymore.

Have a look on samsung.com for the tpu plastic screen protector as they should be available or be available soon.

Have a look on amazon too and mobilefun.com

Personally I use the Samsung Official versions or the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector however they are not inexpensive but are incredibly good @PowderedToastMan

I wouldn't recommend the glass versions that just have adhesive around their edges.

I wouldn't recommend to go for the cheapest as they don't always give the best protection and stand up too well to everyday use.

There should be reviews on YouTube for most screen protectors.

Try to check the one's your interested in are case friendly if you use a case. By that i mean the case won't conflict with the screen protector causing it to lift.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

Thanks. Yeah I had the Whitestone dome one on my S10 and for the most part it was OK but the fingerprint sensor got kind of annoying (yep I did all the things to make it work as well as possible).

For my S20 I've used the Spigen NeoFlex protector which is much better with the fingerprint sensor although maybe doesn't give it quite the same level of protection. So far my screen is fine apart from a small area where I dropped the phone on rough hard ground.

Given the new protective screen on the ultra is it really necessary to use a screen protector on that model ?

@georgieboy

I think there isn't a yes or no answer to that question. The screen is resistant but not 100%.

If the user won't plan to keep the phone for long, and it is very careful with the phone, it might not be necessary to have a screen protector. Otherwise, it might be highly recommended.

Another factor to consider, it is cost. Accidents do happen, and replacing a £12 protector seems more economic than replacing the screen itself, a bit like insurance. Replacing the screen also implies being without a phone for the repair period.

I have the S22 Ultra and got a wallet case. My phone is pristine conditions, I did not pay a lot for the case and has protected my £1500 phone quite well. All is not advantages, I need to open the case, it does not show the phone on all its beauty, extra cost, etc.

I order the S24 Ultra and I think that I will be using some sort of extra protection, but I do understand that this is a very personal decision. Some people like their phone totally "naked" and that is fine as well.

I got the LK for the S24 ultra, pack of three, comes with the guide, one of the easiest I've ever fitted (and I've fitted a few😉😁) no bubbles, slight downside is the screen is a bit more reflective and you need to adjust sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor, Amazon have got an offer right now £9 for the three pack.
Personally I think I might get the Samsung two pack as they are supposed to be anti reflective, maybe don't offer the best protection tho as they're only soft film, as Reylob said it's a personal choice 👍

What I find strange is everyone seems to assume that everyone else is getting the ultra.

My post specifically said the plus model.

Whenever I search anything for the plus everything seems to redirect to Ultra.

For starters it's more than I'm willing to pay.
Secondly even if it wasn't, it's bloody huge. Much too large for me. I handled the S23 Ultra & it's just a no. I'm actually taking a bit of a gamble going for the plus over the S24.

But yeah everyone seems to think you're always talking about the Ultra.

Yes there is a difference for sure. I've got massive hands ️ so I can get away with a bigger phone . I was just piggy backing on the conversation I noticed you said the plus model .
I use my phone for everything so the bigger screen suits me and my hands.
Enjoy your phone cheers 🍻

Yeah I'd love to be able to have the Ultra. Well, I could have it but it's just bigger than I'd like. I can 1 hand my S20 which I couldn't with an Ultra.
Weirdly my wife who obviously has smaller hands than me, she loves larger phones. She previously had an A71. I'm not sure how that stacks up in size vs the Ultra but yeah that was a bit of a large phone too.

Maybe after running the plus for a few years (because I plan on keeping it for a good while) I'd be more willing to opt for an Ultra.... If they even did them by that point.

Ahh I see the LK is a glass one. I had glass on my S10 but it was a problem with the fingerprint sensor so I'll not go back to glass for that reason (even tried the Whitestone dome which was better but not great).

I was looking at the FlexKlearGlasss hybrid one at just shut of £20 for 1.
Watched the video on Amazon. Not sure if it was because I was tired last night or what but part of the process made me wonder about it as it mentioned something along the lines of applying the second protector. I thought there'd be only 1.
