After Samsung finally went flat screen with S24 ultra I decided to upgrade my phone however after receiving my shiny new S24 ultra I am not fully impressed.
I have continued using my old note 10+ since it's release refusing to get a new phone until Samsung finally got rid of the ugly pain in the rear curve edge screen so going from my old phone to the S24 ultra should be a huge improvement but it's not.
Like others I have found the screen colours to be very washed out, the camera when zooming in past 5x at night goes blank intermittently and the power share function don't work.
After shedding out over £1k on the supposed flagship phone that has been eagerly anticipated by so many loyal customers I feel that this phone was not ready to be released with so many bugs and defects in it's design.
I'm a Samsung fan and have been extremely loyal for many many years but I must say that I'm starting to feel that maybe this time my loyalty has been misguided.
Can anyone help with the power share fault, I tried all I can think of from naked phones to rebooting the device, battery is at 90% watch 6 was at 9% old note 10+ was at 36% but powershare remained disconnected.

Hi @Andy082
This support link might help > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-wireless-powershare.
You could always put the phone into Safe Mode and then see what happens.
> Safe Mode > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.
As for the vivid and natural Mode it appears Samsung are aware of this and hopefully should be addressing this soon.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care. 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

A factory reset after transferring the data with SmartSwitch seems illogical to me. The whole idea of SmartSwitch is to get your old phone's data into the new one in a painless way. A factory reset, means that the data will have to be restored.
I am not a great fan of SmartSwitch, I think that I might use it to transfer contacts and messages, but nothing else. I like your second suggestion go for as new and install as and when needed. I like the idea that a new phone is a good opportunity for some "spring cleaning".

So the internet is full of advice to use Samsung Smart Switch to avoid the long and painful process of reconfiguring the new device. And now you come and say, if I use Samsung Smart Switch (the solution advertised to avoid exactly that) I have to do a factory reset and do all the reconfiguring again. Seriously?
If that's a joke it's not funny.
Some years back, when I was upgrading my S7 to the then new S20 Ultra, I was doing it by using Smart Switch. It worked not perfectly but id worked. I am especially still able to wirelessly charge other devices with that aged phone. I can charge my brand new S24 Ultra with it without any problem.
I am telling you this to show that I know what I am doing.
I cannot, however, charge anything with the brand new S24 Ultra, whatever I do. I followed all the repetetive "advice" to be found anywhere on the net. I upgraded the phone. It is fully charged. I rebooted (did several times). I removed the cover. I danced around it at midnight, full moon shining. No success.
It immediately begins being charged when put back-to-back with my brave old S20 Ultra. It works with both covers on. It even begins charging when the phones are still an inch apart.
But not the other way round.
The thing I did not and will not try is a factory reset. Any other ideas are greatly welcome! It seems I am not alone. So it would be great to hear if anybody actually can use his S24 Ultra to wirelessly charge other devices, any at all, and what software version that phone is on.
Many thanks in advance!

I have just been on chat with Samsung re the power sharing. I used to be able to charge my last galaxy watch by power sharing from my phone. The new watch 6 can't do this because of the way the watch strap connects to the watch. The connections are curved so it won't lie flat to the phone. There is no way around it apart from using the charger supplied with the watch, which doesn't help me today whilst I am at work without the charger. Seems a bit of a backward step to me.
