Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a solution that worked for me after USB-C Ethernet support mysteriously stopped on my Galaxy S24+ post-update.

I tested both:

  • UGREEN 2.5Gbps adapter (Realtek RTL8156)

  • Plugable Gigabit adapter (Realtek RTL8153 / AX88179A)

Neither worked until I followed these steps (recommended by Samsung UK Support):

How to Wipe Cache Partition (No Data Loss):

  1. Power off the device.

  2. Connect a USB-C cable to a PC or another device.

  3. Hold Volume Up + Side Button until Recovery Menu appears.

  4. Select Wipe cache partition → Confirm → Reboot system.

This instantly restored Ethernet functionality.

Thought I'd share in case others are stuck like I was. Let me know if it helps you!

@Members_zU4mPIa  Thanks for sharing your experience, clearing the cache partition  does help with some issues

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Yo, thanks for sharing this fix! The cache partition wipe is lowkey a lifesaver for random update bugs like this.

Props to Samsung UK Support for the solid advice. Anyone struggling with USB-C Ethernet on the S24+ should definitely try this before freaking out or resetting the whole phone.

Appreciate you looking out for the community!
