I have just received my new galaxy s24fe but can't find out how to allocate different sounds to notifications for my rmail,message apps. Please can anyone help ???

Go to settings- Sounds and vibration- Separate app sounds

Go to settings > notifications > advanced settings > toggle on "manage notification categories for each app " then go

Settings > notifications > app notifications > select app > notification categories > press on any category > select your desired sound.

Thanks for that as I wasn't aware you could do that. Shows you all the good and bad things about android. Loads of customisation but everythings buried under menus and sub menus. With settings that just look like a switch but have more settings if you click on them.

Yes, i know with some settings you have to dig deeper but if you toggle on "manage notification categories for each app" you will be able select different sounds for apps and each category of the app/apps.
