S24 ultra - Camera overoptimized pictures.

Hello everyone,

Just got my new s24 ultra but of course it came with all the know issues (dull colors) 

Although I'm worried about another issue and i can't find many posts for that.

Has anyone else experienced overoptimized pictures even with all optimized settings off? 

Especially with 50MP or 200MP setting I'm taking some awesome shots and then the phone will automatically process the picture and boom.... Destroyed. Over exposed lights, colors like oil paintings, no shadows no contrast just ruined photos. 

From the preview all pictures looks amazing but I'm really frustrated with this optimization and there is nothing to stop it. 

Any ideas if this is an issue and will should be fixed? Otherwise the phone goes back where it came from. Is ridiculous to get better shots with S21 ultra.

Can't say I have noticed that with my camera
But I tend to photo in RAW setting, so I can edit afterwards.
After shooting in RAW, any auto mode JPEG is going to be more processed.
But still the auto mode photos to my eyes with my phone appear to be relatively normal
That said I haven't used the 200Mp setting as yet.

Hi, you could try using camera assistant and adjusting picture settings in there.

Hello, i just tried that. Won't change anything sadly.

I tried also the raw settings. Still the pictures after the shot will be processed. I take the shot open the gallery watch the picture nice and brilliant for 2-3 seconds while the phone loading the optimization and then it destroys the photo.
I literally tried all the settings. Same may be a bit better but still overoptimized for no reason.

Strange as RAW is unprocessed and should appear flat
Got to be a setting that's on

Don't know honestly and i ve tried all the settings. I'll book an appointment with Samsung support to get some help.

Shoot in RAW and you can have 2 copies (Raw &jpg)

I've just tried 200MP on mine. I get the oil painting look when the light is lowish. In bright light it's fine.

I would say the opposite on mine. During day colours are overexposed where the night it's fine because you need that extra light. 🤔 Not sure what is going on but it doesn't look right to me.
