Following the "vivid" issue for those of us who use it... Do you also have the same max brightness as S23U? I'm suppose to see a noticeable difference in max brightness with S24U? This is an issue I am not seeing anywhere else online, maybe not many are testing it?

That's interesting, I've seen people say a full reset fixes some if these issues... It could also be hardware fault 🤦 won't know till next update

If you put side by side s24u&s23u on same brightness, s24u is slightly dimmer, however, the screen has a very good contrast between lighter colours and darker ones. Probably is because of the AR coating, but there is a big difference in comtrast, yes colours are muted but not by much.
Any video review about Samsung ppl were complaining that the colours are too vibrant on galaxy phones , now that are more true to life not good🤣.
I'm sure Samsung will send an update soon

The S24 is expected to have a higher screen brightness than the S23 series does. The vivid or natural is an software issue and are waiting for Samsung to fix that on a later update. They isn't one due yet.

Seems to be an issue with the Vivid Mode for a numbe of customers, would appear to be software related. This has been escalated and we are awaiting a response.

Peak Brightness  for S23 Ultra is 1750 nits, for the S24 Ultra it is 2600. https://www.mobiles.co.uk/blog/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-review/

Try resetting accessibility settings in settings > general management > Reset

It solved my brightness and colour issues

Yeah just compared both of mine for the last time before I reset the S23U to go back to Samsung and they are the same peak brightness in my testing, if anything the S23U is slightly brighter than my S24U. Display clarity is way way clearer than the S23U though. Man I hope the next update fixes this.

Did you turn off adaptive brightness? You then get the option to turn on extra brightness. I just tried it on my S24U and it gave me a headache it was that bright 😎
