I am really disappointed with extreme battery drain in my S24 ultra. With 14 hrs total use the screen time is 2 hrs and standby is 12 hrs the battery is already down to 30%. I don't think it should be this is right. I had high expectations from s24 ultra but this is really bad. I have seen really good reviews on s24 ultra but having faced this issue I am really disappointed. May be my device is faulty please help me with a replacement. I paid 2200 AUD for this phone not to face this issue. DISAPPOINTED.

Mine is the same. I didn't notice t the beginning but after about 3 months the battery is draining very quickly (8 hours or so). I only charging it with original Samsung charger. Had a Huawei before that lasted way longer

What's frustratingly bad is, that the battery drainage is way too much for a phone, since this is mostly the first samsung related product I've ever bought after switching from Apple, but not even my iPhone 14 pro drained one percent in just under a minute, and I then I had to make some tweaks at the battery settings so it didn't drain a percent in a minute, but still it isn't enough. I should be able to use longer for heavier usage just because it's the first days of using my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and hopefully if I can upgrade, the battery drain is fixed on the S25 Ultra, or at least fix the battery drain on the samsung galaxy s24 ultra next event

I've been reading that the issues are happening on the wonderful s25 models as well. Using the YouTube app, the battery drains extremely fast and the phone gets so hot. S25 is doing the same. Samsung doesn't care to fix the issue because they've become a money hungry company now. They act like nothing is even wrong and that's the worst part. YouTube doesn't seem to care either. I've always loved Samsung phones due to how many more better features they have that IPhone doesn't have. Samsung phones are like mini computers where IPhone is more like just a messaging device. But with battery drain and the phones turning into a nuclear reactor with how hot it gets they've lost me as a future customer due to how long this has been going on and them acting like nothing is wrong. They had a chance to fix the issues with the s24 and then the s25. They have not addressed the issues. So that's the line.

I'm right there with you.
I have been a loyal Samsung customer for DECADES. I have had Samsung phones since the SIII, my watch is Samsung, I have every pair of Samsung earbuds they've ever made, my tablet is Samsung, my TV's (plural) are Samsung, even my bloody fridge is Samsung. But NO MORE.
You crossed a line Samsung, I don't care why. If you had admitted the problem & attempted to resolve it, like you USED to do, I'd still be a happy, loyal Samsung customer today & in the future. But now, I'll find another brand to give my extremely frequent patronage to. It's a shame... I loved their trade-in program too and no one else even has one.

Yes! I've been loyal as well! They used to care to make things right with their customers! I'm finished! They don't even acknowledge these issues! They act like nothing is wrong. They didn't even fix the battery issue or the overheating issue on the s25! They are money hungry now. Companies don't thrive to make it right anymore. Those days are long gone. So many s models from the s23 to s25 are experiencing these problems. My s24 ultra, like ive stated before, turns into a nuclear reactor with how hot it gets and battery drains extremely fast using youtube app! It's sickening especially for those of us who have been very loyal customers. When you make it right for your loyal customers that keeps business coming to your company. Maybe many people will leave and that will be a rude awakening for them. Thanks for the reply my fellow samsung sufferer.

My phone is brand new like I charged it 100% last night and did set up this morning. I'm still using my old phone so I have barely even used it - just to set up emails, apps etc .And it is now siting on 48% I feel like something is wrong with it. Even my old iPhone was stronger. How do I check if the battery is health - maybe I got an old battery because this is not on. I am really stressing - feel like my phone os faulty

Really ??? Bcos I am literally abut to cry . I am on 48% with 2 hrs Screen on time. Is that normal for a brand-new phone? I feel like taking it back honestly. Does it really get better ?

It is supposed to get better after the battery learns your usage patterns. But it doesn't really. My phone i had to end up enabling low profile mode, had to lower resolution. Had to turn data saver on. Had to disable 120hrz refresh rate and low screen brightness and it did better but I shouldn't have to do that with a $1200 phone. It does ok actually as long as I don't watch youtube. Something is going on with the YouTube app that drains battery power FAST and causes the phone to get very hot in a short amount of time. Youtube needs to fix the issue but will not do it. I get around 6 hours of video streaming time at most and that isnt often. The s25 is having the same issues I have been reading. Samsung used to have awesome phones. They still would if they would resolve the battery issues.

Agreed. I watch YouTube all day while at work, but I mostly just listen to it with the screen off yet it still drains the battery massively. Thing is, I've been doing this for YEARS and my S24 Ultra and S23 Ultra did NOT have a problem with this at all. There is definitely something going on with the YT app & S24/25 Ultra's that's causing the severe battery drain. Mine also gets insanely hot like yours too. I've had it drain even when I'm not using YT or even using the phone at all though, so it's not exclusively a YT app problem.
I've been a Samsung owner & loyal customer for decades but not anymore. If they would have at least acknowledged the problem and attempted to do something about it, I would stay a loyal customer. But instead, they've literally just ignored the thousands/millions of us.

Oh no! I thought of just buying an s25 to get rid of my battery problems.
