Hey all

I am looking at the Samsung Galaxy S24, and as I am in the United Kingdom it comes with the exynos. Coming from an iPhone 13.

How does the exynos perform on daily tasks?

Many will say it works fine and for most that is probably true.

From my own perspective, as a heavy use I won't buy Exynos as I find them weaker than Snapdragon chips.

I don't want to put you off Samsung, Samsung phones are great, but as a long term Exynos user, my main complaint about them it's they feel slow, like switching between apps, and the heat kinda fast, depending what you are using and how many apps you have open. The apps themselves and the cameras work great, no problems, but the lagginess is not very appealing. It added up for me as inconvenient over time, that's why when the S24U, which is on Snapdragon arrived, I rushed to buy it, and I can tell a huge difference between the two chipsets.
There is a new generation of Exynos now and Samsung and some people say it's more optimise, so it might be better than the old ones.

From my perspective  (a number would agree) Exynos Devices work well  though the Snapdragon processors rate more highly.  The differences have become less marked in recent years , some though just have a desire for Snapdragon.

It depends on your needs/budget,  I would say though that  the  plus/Ultra devices do give you a better experience.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

My Mrs had the s24+ and it's perfectly fine. Feels quick, takes great photos and many many people would probably not tell the difference between chips. High end users and enthusiasts will likely prefer snapdragon.

I've not really felt anything inferior using the Exynos versions of the S20, S21 and S22 Ultra phones. None had any day to day issues in terms of heat, battery life or performance. Unless I'm using them in games measuring fps in general, I'd never really feel the difference. For me, either chipset wouldn't bother my personal preference as I've seen the differences marginal.

I've been using the S22 with Exynos for the last 2 years and have had zero problems - it's snappy, I don't get heat issues and it just works. Battery could be a little better, but I think this was a weak point of the S22 line in general. I wouldn't hesitate to get another Exynos-powered Galaxy.
