Pattern unlock not working - 24 hours blocked URGENT!

Hi all,

This is urgent, I use fingerprint to unlock my phone usually, but it asked for authentication, so I had to use the pattern, but it seems like I forgot it now I can't unlock the phone and I don't want to lose the data.

Tried with find my device, but it doesn't show the unlock option any more, does anyone know a way or to change to pin instead of pattern ?

I have restarted my phone as recommended on 1 of Samsung tips: I can't unlock my Samsung Galaxy device | Samsung Ireland

 

The timer had 5 hours left and it went back to 24 hours. Anyway I give up, thanks all for your support.

Unfortunately for you, security is there for a reason. Samsung knox is there to provide protection.

If it was easy to bypass the security, then it would mean that phones that are lost or stolen can be easily reset and used by someone...or sold on.

I believe unless you can remember pin or pattern then you will be unable to bypass.

For all we know, you might be someone who has a Samsung account so you can access the forum and ask questions, but also you are trying to unlock a Samsung phone of someone else. Just like @smiley said, what seems unnecessary complications in your posts is under extreme demand by people, companies , and even governments, i.e. security.

I'm only asking for a method where I can use my phone-number/password or email account but thanks again for explaining how security works.

@joepiesaus: The option to remotely unlock Galaxy devices was removed from Find My Mobile/SmartThings Find, therefore it sadly won't be possible to unlock your Galaxy S24 via your Samsung account. I understand that it isn't ideal, however if you are unable to recall your pattern for authentication then you will need to contact Samsung Support in your region to arrange for an engineer to unlock the device for you. Please note that a copy of your proof of purchase will be required, and the issue relates to a security feature of the device.
