Hi all,
This is urgent, I use fingerprint to unlock my phone usually, but it asked for authentication, so I had to use the pattern, but it seems like I forgot it now I can't unlock the phone and I don't want to lose the data.
Tried with find my device, but it doesn't show the unlock option any more, does anyone know a way or to change to pin instead of pattern ?

@joepiesaus: The option to remotely unlock Galaxy devices was removed from Find My Mobile/SmartThings Find, therefore it sadly won't be possible to unlock your Galaxy S24 via your Samsung account. I understand that it isn't ideal, however if you are unable to recall your pattern for authentication then you will need to contact Samsung Support in your region to arrange for an engineer to unlock the device for you. Please note that a copy of your proof of purchase will be required, and the issue relates to a security feature of the device.
To get in touch, please head to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the screen > Contact us, or check the 'Support' section for the available contact channels.

Well, no. That would mean being able to circumvent the security. Hopefully you remember the pattern

Do you have a PIN as a method of authentication already programmed? if not you cannot do it now. if yes, then you can use the PIN to unlock the phone.
If you forgot all methods of unlocking your phone, I am afraid you had better contacting Samsung help

This is stupid, are all people stupid or am I stupid? After rebooting the 24 hours timer resets back to 24 hours. Stupidity level 1000, nothing else I can make of it.

I can't unlock my Samsung Galaxy device | Samsung Ireland
Samsung removed a features:
Find My Mobile can help you find your device, or to lock or wipe it if it has been lost or stolen. You can also use it to unlock your device.
In order to unlock your device remotely:
- your device must be connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile network.
- your device must be signed into your Samsung Account.
- remote control and remote unlock settings must be enabled.
- you will need to enter your Samsung Account username and password.

Are you saying that providing no solution makes more sense

Reboot your device
Rebooting your device can help if your phone or tablet isn't recognizing your pattern.
Enter Safe Mode
Entering Safe Mode can help if your phone or tablet isn't recognizing your pattern.
Check your PIN
Make sure you're entering the correct PIN, and not an old one if you've recently changed it. You can also try entering your PIN on another device to make sure it's working

no, im saying this statement of yours "After rebooting the 24 hours timer resets back to 24 hours" is nonsense.
As for the solution, we did provide you with a solution for the case of forgetting ALL authentication methods, I sent the link as well to all possible remote methods, including the final deadly one "Factory reset".
You, on the other hand, started calling us names. which breaches this forum guide lines

Clearly there is a misunderstanding and clearly there is no solution which I have my opinion about.
