Transfer eSim from my S23

I just got the S24 and I want to transfer my eSim from my S23. When I click on the add eSim button it doesn't give me the option to transfer it from my S23. Am I doing something wrong? I've set up a lock screen password and everything

Did you check with your carrier that they support esim transfer?

Hi @charliechatz 

From galaxy-esim-and-supported-network-carriers/ 

    1. On your new device, Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM

 

    1. On your new device, tap Transfer SIM from another device

 

    1. On your old device, you will see a popup for SIM transfer. Tap Transfer

 

    1. On your old device, enter that 6-digit verification code that you see on your new device

 

    1. On your new Galaxy device, select a phone number from the list provided by your old Galaxy device, then tap Transfer

 

    1. On your old device, tap Transfer

 

    1. Selected number is transferred to your new Galaxy device from your old device

 

    1. On your old device, tap Done

 

  1. The eSIM that is for the selected number will be automatically downloaded and activated on your new Samsung Galaxy device

I don't see that option on my new samsung, only on my old one. On the new the only options I have is scan qr code or search for esim

I don't have any other sims in the new device ATM and I don't get the option to transfer eSim. Both my old and my new devices came from Vodafone and they both unlocked so not sure why the old one has the option to transfer eSim but the new one doesn't

Unfortunately not, as my eSim is from Vodafone Greece so that article wouldn't apply. But the problem is that I don't get the "transfer eSim" option at all on the S24. While on the S23 that currently has the eSim, it give me the option to transfer in another eSim

Ah I see your not from the UK. 

It maybe beneficial to also submit a post in your own regions section of the Samsung Community Forum Section for a more appropriate detailed response. 

Vodafone Greece shoukd also be able to assist.

did you find out what the root cause was? Because I am on the same boat, bought the UK version SM-S928B/DS (or aka International version) of ultra 24S, currently using the phone in HK area. The "Transfer SIM from another device" options is missing with or without esim/NanoSim inserted. BTW, I am able to add esim and tested okay though. Any idea?
