AT&T Unlocked Samsung S24 Ultra , at India I am not able to get a Samsung New update

I am writing to share my experience and seek assistance regarding my AT&T Unlocked Samsung S24 Ultra in India. Despite all 5G networks working perfectly fine, I am unable to receive any Samsung updates. This seems to mirror the issue another user faced, where the only available update was from April.

I attempted to check for updates through the Switch app on a PC/laptop, but unfortunately, no updates were found. Additionally, I did try to report this issue to the developers through the members app, but it hasn't resolved the problem.

Given the circumstances and my dissatisfaction, I am in the process of returning this phone. The model is Samsung S24 Ultra, Model SM-S928US, which I purchased from the USA. I will be sending this mobile back to the USA with a person who can facilitate the return for me.

I purchased an iPhone 15 Pro Max unlocked with the same method, but it gives proper updates as well as global support.

I am quite unhappy with Samsung's approach. If updates are global, why are they blocked? Why do AT&T and other carriers interfere with updates?

The CSC code and what does it do.
In the screenshot the 3 letters highlighted in red is the code it looks up when checking for updates. The 3 letters highlighted in yellow is the code for the phones original CSC code. The code highlighted in yellow can't be changed. So on my phone the red highlighted code is XAA, US unbranded and the code highlighted in yellow VZW means it was originally Verison. The link is a list of all Samsung CSC codes.

You can change it with Samfirmware tool. Search on YouTube for how to do it. Make sure your phones got the same hardware as the the phone your changing the CSC code to or you'll have problems.

As the device was purchased in the US then you'll only receive updates when their are released over in the states. This is the risk when buying a phone and used in an different country.

I've got a USA model phone in the UK. Mine was stuck on April update. I changed my CSC code to XAA US unlocked. It now gets all updates. Mine was on AT and T software originally.

@dostimehul: Please be advised that software variances exist in our devices from region to region for compatibility purposes. With this in mind, if you are outside the region where your phone was intended to be used, then this can lead to compatibility issues with some apps, features and updates. In your case, as the phone is a US model, it won't be possible to update the device OTA if you are currently based in India. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Yay! I'm excited to share that after changing the CSC Code, all the updates came through seamlessly. I went ahead and installed them all without any issues. Thanks Moiramon

Just a message to say that although we are glad this has fixed the issue, we would advise against sourcing unofficial firmware or using unofficial software to alter such settings. Doing so can result in damaging the device and does in fact void the warranty.
