Object eraser not working

Since purchasing my brand new s24 ultra, I have noticed that the object eraser is not working and functioning and working as well as my old s22 & s23 ultra models. When you try and edit a photo or eraser a area the tool is snapping randomly in places on screen. And not actually removing the highlighted area. It's very frustrating

I'm happy your object eraser tool is working well; mine is not. I'm not using the AI replacement. I'm trying to use the object eraser tool. I upgraded from a S23 Ultra and I used object eraser almost daily. I can assure you that I know how to use it. On my S23 Ultra it worked flawlessly. It's useless on my S24 Ultra. It won't let you select with any accuracy. Most of the time it highlights something you didn't select. Others, it just does nothing. Again, it's absolutely NOT a case of using it incorrectly. I know how to use it; it just doesn't work.

Agree, it is not usable, when you manually select yourself, the tool change it randomly, and doesn't select what I selected. So really bad now!

On both S21 an S22 ultra this works fine, but not on S24 ultra ☹️

Samsung what's the reason for fixing something that's not broken here? Are there any plans to revert back to the original? 

Does anyone know of any other photo editing tools that work similar to Samsungs original magic eraser? I will gladly switch. This one is horrible.. I've been sending photos to my other device just to edit them.

You should be able to have the option to switch it off, so you can free hand and erase what you like openly when you highlight a area of the screen

This doesn't address blemishes. I used this tool constantly to remove maybe a red spot, a small reflection, dirt, a peeling cuticle on a hand and even dust. Now it will only select what it determines is an object. Notice when you made the big circle it snapped to the item and would not let you keep the shape of the circle. The changes made to the gallery removal tool renderes the service useless to my needs.

Did you try turning off the magnetic lasso? 

Just press it once to turn it on/off

Yeah this is new. Noticed it pop up a few days ago. I do a TON of photo editing using a combination of different Adobe tools, Lightroom, and the galaxy editor. I looked EVERYWHERE through settings, in the app, etc and it was not there up until a few days ago.
