After reading all the comments and trying some things out, I have realised that it's the NFC function. If you have a phone case that holds any bank cards in them, take them out. When the phone goes close enough to a bank card it will vibrate. Touch the back of your phone with your bank card whilst holding your phone. More to the left hand side and it will make your phone buzz each time it touches after a second or so.

Hi, I tried the same, and it stopped on my S22 as well.

i did the suggestion regarding removing bank carda from the phone case, where I conveniently store. It did not vibrate randomly. So if NFC function was updated recently. Maybe it was to detect the chip when it is near the phone?? Why was it updated ?

Found a solution that seems to work! Turn off NFC. Seems to have worked for me.

I was confused by this too, thinking that something I removed (started right after I did) caused this.
I saw the posts about the NFC and I removed my presto card from the case. That resolved my issue. So, it's not just credit cards or debit cards causing this. Anything that has tap capabilities.

It worked - taking the credit card out of the case stopped the seemingly random vibration. Annoying, I keep it there for the times I want to spend more than the tap limit or for when the reader doesn't work properly and you have to use your PIN
