I have experienced during the last months a video freeze issue with mine Galaxy S24 Ultra, when scrolling social media videos get freezed with no reason, the only solution is to restarting the phone, the frustration is that you lost the video you wanted to view, a new in X or a Sub in reddit wall hard to find again.
I have noted that many peole have the same problem reported in with Facebook Videos or instagram, some say the problem is with facebook but I have experienced the problem in all the above including Reddit so this is not a facebook problem, is clearly a Samsung or Android problem.
Any news?

Hi @jaimefredes Welcome to the Samsung Community
Firstly check all your Apps are up to date, try clearing the cache of the relevant Apps. Go to Apps-x (for instance)Force stop -Storage-clear cache and Reboot.
If does does not sort out would recopmmend clearing the cahe partition a sthat can help with lags/freezes, some temporary cache files can become redundant or corrupt.
Follow these steps:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
you could also send an Error Report if not sorted, go to Samsung Members-Support-Send Feedback-Lock up-Restarting, detail the issue. Ensure the system logs are enclosed.

Hello Tourbillon, thanks for your reply, responding to your question, yes, restarting the device, clearing caché, but I think that clearing cache should not be a solution, that's not the point, this is a desperate workaround, we shouldn't be like living clearing caché, that should be automatically when the cell phone restarts or in an automatic maintenance, fullfilling high end devices with temporarily files or tons of caché is not a good practive, we are talking about hight end device :-(.
the thing is, when I want to see a video, I want to see the video, I don't want to restart the phone, clear cache, or reset the device, first cause I'll don't gonna be able to find the video that I wanted to see in a casual view again, second because I don't want to lost hours for that, is insane.

Hello James, thanks for your reply, I appreciate that, I just responded to @Toutoun about this... same response, When I buy a High End device, I don't espect to live that way clearing cache or deleting files to view a casual video in social networks, thats the point, something is wrong viewed from this point of view no?

Troubleshooting in this case is to correct misbehaving apps. And, of course you are right we should be simply enjoying our devices. However

Hi having the same problem, I figured out that whenever you try to view an instagram carousell type post which includes videos and HAS music added the video will freeze and be unable to play only displaying a blurry thumbnail for that slide. I've checked on both my devices my s24+ and s25+ and the issue still occurs despite clearing cache, restarting and redownloading the app 😞 Seems to be some sort of samsung incompatibility with the latest meta or ig update 😞
