Issues using International warranty and care + for S24 Ultra in UK

My S24 ultra has been having issues with charging lately (only charges slowly with 1 side of USB C, tried many cables and charges).
I have bought the device in Singapore with care + from Samsung website it self during Launch pre sale and am now living in UK.

I requested a collection service from Samsung and after being given a pick up slot my request was cancelled stating that based on my IMEI my unit was non EU!

- Is the "international" warranty meaningless?
- Did I waste money by even paying extra for Samsung care +?

Can someone please advise what to do?

I didn't even get to care + levels. This issue should be covered under a normal warranty as well no?

Normal warranty is only for the country it was purchased in

Care+ is additional warranty, but that may differ for each country

The UK care+ has worldwide cover but it does say "if accepted" which I didn't notice when I took cover out then they could repair or replace but replacement will be sent to UK, I assume in your case would be Singapore

'International warranty'

Have you done some research on this ? I am not entirely sure this is actually possible.

From my suspicions, I believe the phone needs to return to the region it was purchased if any warranty claim is to be made.

Do you have anyone in Singapore that you can send the phone to and ask them to help with the warranty repair ?

It is always advised on this EU and UK forum to buy and use the phone in the correct region, as these issues will become apparent if warranty is required.

You will need to investigate with the customer service team about these details and what the options are.

With this out of the way, i wanted to ask how you have concluded that the phone is charging slowly and how you can tell that the 'USB is only using 1 side of USB-C'.

How has this been tested ?

How can you tell this assumption of USB fault ?

Has some 'app' told you that 'one half of USB is not working' ?

Did the in built diagnostics in the phone identify an issue ?

Also does the USB C work if connected to a PC for the transfer mode / Dex mode ?

Providing some updates as this seems to be a grey area for all.

- while a phone has 24 month warranty the international warranty is 1 year. I am days left before 1 year so am going to a brick and mortar store ASAP.
- I did waste my money buying care+ as its only applicable in purchased region.
- pick up service offered to phones kept getting cancelled as the staff did not know that they should offer under international warranty and cancelled my request when checking my IMEI. The customer support lady mentioned she can call the pick up repair team to inform them they should not have cancelled and resubmitt a pick up but I asked that I will just go to a store.

I've had exactly the same issue now on two S24 Ultra's. I had a replacement for the first one and the replacement had to be sent back to Samsung for repair. I'm not sure what they have done but it's fixed. I've noticed a lot of posts about this.
