Hi All

I hope all are well.

Wanted to get a census about the value of clearing the cache (via cable in laptop method) to boost phone performance and functionality.

Personally I don't feel any difference:
1. Performance is same when using app
2. Camera picture quality still terrible
3. Battery not lasting any longer

Currently don't feel the mobile is worth £1549, therefore not value for money compared to my previous mobile (S10Plus).

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

I found it makes no difference at all. During any update, the cache partition should be cleared anyway, I find clearing the cache for any misbehaving app works best.

View differ but I think clearing the cache partition is good maintenance, generally improves performance and means you are less likely to have certain issues such as lags/freezes.  I do not have an S24 Device though.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I agree with @chrismattamy on this.

Personally I do not clear the cache of the phone after a software update unless the phone starts to misbehave soon after.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I rarely clear the cache, however I rarely have any issues with updates regarding performance. Occasionally it may have a glitch cycle where battery life appears lesser than usual, but everytime it corrects itself by the next charge cycle.

As for this last update, it does appear a little smoother for me in some games and system wise, just as good as before. Early days yet though, so gotta give it time to get a good read. Camera wise, I've tested a few shots and honestly haven't noticed any significant changes, except zoom transitions seem even more improved.
