Galaxy S24 Microphone Issues

Just got my new S24 and the microphone quality is very hit and miss. I recorded some videos earlier and 70% of them the sound was awful, crackling and distorted. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Try running the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App. 

If you feel the speakers are at fault then make arrangements to have the unit swapped out @Ezra95

Thanks mate, yeah tried that and it sounds awful. Annoyingly I factory reset my old phone so now smart switching everything back to it again. Was hoping it would be a quick fix with the software or something

I had a similar problem on my S23 Ultra last year when I bought it. The audio on recorded video was fading in and out badly. My network provider sent me a replacement within 48 hours, the audio of which was fantastic in comparison. Don't settle for a substandard device when you should be enjoying a truly brilliant device. Make sure your finger isn't covering the microphone or speaker.
I thought I was having issues with mic level, turns out my pinky was covering the mic.

Is it a fault with the item, a software bug, or perhaps the move from two mics at the bottom to two at the top is affecting things?

Wow yeah your S23 is sounding far cleaner. The strange thing is my S24 was temperamental, sometimes it recorded my voice perfectly and then most of the time it was bad. So I'm assuming it's software related

Having the same issue here. Samsung upgraded the mic on the s24 series and it is meant to filter out background noise. So i think the issue is software related as it sounds perfect in the voice recorder but terrible recording videos
