Galaxy S24 Microphone Issues

Just got my new S24 and the microphone quality is very hit and miss. I recorded some videos earlier and 70% of them the sound was awful, crackling and distorted. Does anyone know a fix for this?

The microphone on my S24 is faulty. I can only be heard clearly when using ear phones. I have spent hours in contact with technicians who have confirmed it is a hardware fault. I work freelance so my phone is essential. I can't seem to find a direct contact with customer care. I bought the phone directly from Samsung on a special offer here in Ireland which involved trading in my previous phone. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

My issue is when talking to so.wone in the phone the voice is very low even when volume is at high.. s24 ultra

I tried live streaming an open mic night and I didn't know the audio was very choppy and poor quality until some viewers commented on it. My previous phone was far more effective with recording and streaming music. I don't know what to do. This is an essential part of my life. It might be a deal breaker for me.

Checking on reddit this seems to be a software issue relates to bixby. If you turn bixby off apparently the microphone works well. Samsung hasn't said anything about it so I hope they fix it but not holding my breath. 

Come on samsung... it's been reported in January, just fix it 😞

How on Earth you made this so completely random connection? Well, I found your post after searching for the exact same issue, followed your advice - turning off Bixby, and am pleased to say that your advice worked! Thank you so much! 

I typed in "Bix" in the app search, pressed on "Bixby Settings", and then pressed "Turn Off", and it now when I record with the factory Camera in my new S24, my voice is no longer sounding like a rusty voice box.

I just recorded a short video, and discovered the same thing. My voice fades in and out; goes very quiet, then very loud.

Hi i have weird issue during recording video or video calls i have noisy crackling noises but when i recording audio without video all is fine does anyone know why it happen

I have the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S24 plus. I run diagnostics. It was mic 2 that has the problem

Same issue with my S24 plus. I only discovered early this month for I seldom use the phone for video recording.
