I'm not a stalker. I've just captured this pictures of a man and leaves and screenshoted this one of an older man from Ice Universe to show how the image quality above 10x gets worse and AI generated. Please fix this Samsung. Everything looks worse.

It is no secret that the Camera app needs some improvements. However, anything above 5X is digital zoom. Digital zoom can be improved by improving the algorithm, but it cannot match optical zoom at the same zoom level, even though some can be pretty good.
Other factors are lighting conditions, camera settings and camera limitations. Picture crops without setting details are hard to evaluate how good they are or trying to reproduce them. The crops will be better or worse depending on the whole composition.
Sometimes we want to take impossible shots, this is a general comment, it is not directed at your post @Adi0
I have been able to take really good pictures and bad ones. I do not feel it is any different from the S22 Ultra when it was released. I think the camera will come on to its own after some more updates, again within its capabilities.
Any excellent photo will take equipment, patience and adjusting settings for the shot in question. Point and shoot should be very good, but it has limited capabilities.

Hi @Piper123
The big camera update has been coming for while now. We have had some but it has not nailed it yet. The next big one was meant to come in May but it has been delayed to June according to posts on the web.
I want to keep my scepticism until it is finally here, the proof of the pudding is on the eating as they say.
I would like to know why do you think the hardware choice is the issue.

I agree with you, 100X zoom is just marketing. It is good to have it, but I have never expected to get great pictures at that zoom level. I guess that it was made to take full moon shots only. 😀
Like you, I want a functional zoom, the extra is good to have but I do not expect it to be as good as optical. Excellent zoom pictures usually require a good lens, tripod, a great camera and patience.
The competition has outdone Samsung on camera performance on a few phones. Samsung must put more efforts to get good shots on default settings at release time and then come with all the optimisations. One of the main selling points is the camera. It should match the hype.
Samsung cannot rely on reputation, loyalty, and ecosystem. Other companies (android) are gaining track despite the google-less environment.

Did you mean zoom or sensor? 12x, 50x vs 12MP, 50MP.
