I can see the thumbnail in snapseed but files are not opening. I tried lightroom too. I couldn't see thumbnail in lightroom but can add the photo and edit it.

Yes, it's rather dissapointing that Samsung does not support Sony's ARW image files. Such was the reply from Samsung's technical support. The "funny" thing is that I have no problem viewing and editing ARW images in Lightroom Mobile on my Galaxy Tab S5e when the same images show as blanks in the Sony's CA app, in Google Photos, in the Gallery app, File Commander etc. So, editing can be done in Lightroom but cleaning up unwanted images is a chore in this situation. No help from Samsung so far, I'm afraid. It's a bummer.

Thanks for your response. The strange part is that I could view them on my S21 Ultra. However, you're right, shortlisting images is now difficult 😕

Here is today's response from Samsung (not)promising to fix rendering of ARW images:

I have forwarded your feedback comments on to the relevant party for consideration. Please note, we cannot always implement customer suggestions due to various reasons and will not be able to provide an update on whether we are going to be implementing your suggestion or not. We hope you understand.

I feel photographic community needs to be more assertive. Samsung must get the message that their devices are not as useful as they could have beeen to a large number of customers. My suggestion: write to Samsung technical support directly requesting full usability of Galaxy devices for digital imaging.
