Been using my S22U for wireless android auto for about a year with only the occasional software crash which is fine.
Set up the S24U today and I can't get through a full song without audio lagging and stuttering.
Anything I can try to sort this issue? Anyone had similar?

My Google Pixel 7 just started stuttering today on AA.  I thought I saw a software update msg on the iDrive today but didn't take much notice, but it must be related. My AA on phone is version 11.1.640234.

I've tried resetting the bluetooth connection but it made no difference. Very frustrating because it's been working great since I bought the i4 in Oct 2023, and this issue just started today.

It stutters constantly now, not just Spotify but anything I play through my phone, including Facebook or YouTube videos.

I setup a routine as you suggested and it fixed the stuttering problem that I was having.  Thanks.

This seems to be doing the trick.

There were some small glitches so I uninstalled all Android Auto updates and cleared the Bluetooth connection etc so I was starting from a blank sheet. I didn't run the updates at this stage.

I connected my phone via the cable first and everything was 100% solid.

I then connected to my head unit via BT and followed all of the prompts including updating. From there I'd now say I have a connection that is 99% stable. I get a very minor number of short lived stutters but it recovers quickly.

This works now fully wireless from in my pocket. Great for short journeys and I plug into the cigarette lighter on longer ones.

Sadly it doesn't seem to last for long. Multiple trips were good but the problem remains. The only option that works for me is wired. Shame I've dropped £2k (1k on head unit, 1k on phone) overall and it's not what I intended. I'll keep seeing if there is an answer that's more permanent.

The change did work for me for a bit but then stopped working.  I made one more additional change and it has been good for a few days now.  Under Developer Options I changed the Bluetooth AVRCP Version to 1.4.
