It's suggested multiple times, on a daily basis, that clearing cache solves or could solve many issues.
I've performed that action several times by connecting my phone to another device, turning off, turning on, power and volume up depressed, released when Samsung logo appears, using volume rocker / power button to navigate menu ...
It would be nice to have Clear cache as an option to invoke somewhere in Settings.
This would be beneficial for those a tad squeamish about such procedures.
Just a thought ...

I agree, there should be an option to boot into recovery mode without having to stand on one leg and pull the nose or an ear. In the same way, there is an option to restart or power off the phone, it could have one to reboot into the recovery mode.
It can be very tricky to get the right combination at the right time.
However, clearing the cache partition whilst the phone is fully operational might cause instability. I do not know how Samsung exactly uses this partition, but they can be writing lock files to it or some sort of configuration for running applications that might crash if they are deleted

This being said, following a thread from last week I learnt how to wipe the cache manually for apps from settings and I have cleaned the cache of alot of apps like that.

Good point! Samsung should add wipe cache partition as a default task as part of the update/upgrade process. Normal users should not have to go into the recovery menu after every update.

I've done that as well for an app that is misbehaving. I also find a Force stop works wonders.
