UI 7 and keyboard lagging on certain apps

Hey, is anyone experiencing glitchy keyboard laggs on any of their apps particularly instagram? I have done all of the things like clear cache and data, uninstalled and reinstalled it! I have also left my phone off for a while to see what happens but nothing has worked!

Do a reboot to see if anything has changed

When you say a reboot do you mean like a reset or factory reset? I have restarted and turned it off multiple times since yesterday when I did the update!

Have you tried clearing the cache on the keyboard? If that doesn't work then clear the data and see if that works.

Ive tried to find the samsung keyboard app on my phone but there isnt one! Ive gone through setting and cleared the Cache but there was no data clear button! Ive turned on system apps to see if the keyboard was hidden but its still not there! So annoying!

Hi @caldog27 

I read that Microsoft Swift Keyboard was causing issues with One UI 7 and that it was advisable to disable it before the update.

You might like to try that.

You could also install Google Keyboard (Gboard)

Open an application that needs the keyboard, e.g Messages

Tap one of the chats and tap Text message field to bring the keyboard

Tap the keyboard settings (gear icon)

Scroll down to (Reset to default settings)

Tap it to reset.

To show Samsung keyboard on the list of apps

Navigate to:

Settings -> Apps

Tap on the list of apps Your apps (333) Three parallel lines getting shorter and down arrow

Check that Show system apps is toggle on, see pictures below:
