Videos in mx player or vlc stutter A LOT because the refresh rate keeps jumping between 24, 30, 60, 120 during the video. Even if I set refresh rate to 60hz, then stutter still happens because it keeps switching between 24, 30 and 60.

My older A52s 5G worked perfectly fine because the refresh rate was always locked at 120hz.

I use galaxy maxhz now. Starting from Android 14, the app can only be installed through adb (you can do that without a PC using an app called LADB). After installing you'll need to give it permission through adb again. Then set the frame rate to constant. If you buy the app, then you can set it to only change frame rate to 120hz in a specific app (VLC for example).
