Hmm. Web interface posted this before I actually described what the issue is. A few months ago I noticed that my S23+ has trouble with certain apps - when I start them nothing happens. I eventually worked out that this is because they have no internet connection. When I turn off WiFi and switch to mobile data they immediately work and show whatever content they are meant to show. My phone is the only device in the house having this problem. I have tried so far EVERYTHING, including a total factory reset having deleted all data, apps, and setting, and the problem still persists. I have read around, and disabled all the intelligent wifi settings, turned on the developer settings and turned off all the options therein as well but the problem persists. Any ideas?

Hi @Jnanadasa  Welcome the community.  some other Troubleshooting you could tryFirstly  you could Resetting the Network connections, Settings-General-Reset-Reset Wifi and Bluetooth settings.

If thast does not sort it, Go to Settings- Connections - Wi-Fi - Tap the cog symbol to the right of your router - Forget . This is the bottom right on the list. Toggle your Wi-Fi off and on again - Select your router from the list of available connections, and run through all the connection steps.

Thereafter go to Settings - Connections - Wi-Fi - Tap the cog next to your router, under view More  select the MAC Address Type and set this to Phone MAC. If the issue persists, I would suggest pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together for around 10 seconds until the phone restarts, the reason being that this will refresh the software and address any issues that might be causing problems. An idea also to reboot the router if still issues.

You could try Safe Mode and keep it in this Mode for at least 2 hours, https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/  if the issue is not present in Safe Mode would pinpoint recent third party apps which have been installed.

However if still problems advisable to send an Error Report-via Samsung Members Go to Support-Networking-Wifi.  Describe the issue  and ensure that systems logs are attached (option should be ticked)

Dear @JAMES4578

thanks for these tips.

I tried all of these but to no avail.

Safe mode is not really an option, since the problems are mainly with downloaded apps.

BUT, here is the thing I noticed:

At home I have a WiFi Mesh system. When I connected to the WiFi that comes with the router, I don't have this problem. So it seems to be specific to the mesh. However, none of the other devices in the house have this problem with the mesh, so it seems that there is some problem of compatibility between the Galaxy and the mesh. But this is only since a few months -- other users on other fora have also posted about similar problems since a system update a few months ago....

Any idea what the problem might be?

oh right,  do not think I really have further tips.  Did you send an Error Report via Samsung Members?

I have the same problem. Started after December 2024 security update. I've tried everything as well with no solution.  The only thing that works is to turn off the wifi. It will only use cellular data and does fine, just slow.
