S23 No Network Connection after the latest update

I did the latest S23 update this morning (12/10/2023).  Ever since the update was completed I have had no network signal, despite the network provider having no issues in the area.  I have restarted the phone several times, checked that the SIM is registered and that no further Samsung updates are lurking.  I really do not want to have to reset the phone back to factory settings as we leave home tomorrow and it takes forever to remember and get everything downloaded and logged into again.  What other options are there please? Help

I started having this problem on my 7-month-old S23 FE in October 2024, ironically while I was visiting Seoul. I thought maybe it was a snafu with the T-Mobile data roaming not knowing which network to use in Korea (KT or SKT). I noticed that the problems started happening when I walked past the Chinese embassy in Seoul after leaving the hotel, so maybe there was some kind of interference or jamming in the area. Anyway, the problem resolved for me in Korea when I switched off 5G based on other online advice. Then it restarted today (November 4, 2024) after a couple of weeks back in the USA. So this time I was able to fix it by going to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings > Reset settings. It immediately brought up the "5G UC" graphics in the upper-right corner. Data seems to be working as intended. Kudos to the last part of AndrewL 's suggested fix.

I am having a similar problem on my S23 plus after a recent Android update. I have one ui 6.1 The mobile network keeps going offline. The only temporary fix, for now, is to keep toggling airplane mode on and off for the mobile network to come back, and then it goes off again. I have so far cleared the cache, reset network settings, changed Sim but it seems its related to the latest android update. Samsung need to fix this.

Well after a lot of research and finally deciding to give it a last shot before selling the phone I finally managed to solve this problem.

This post from XDA came down as real help:

https://xdaforums.com/t/how-to-enable-all-bands-through-service-menu-on-us-ca-s23-series-including-s...

I'm based in Saudi Arabia and after a lot of testing of my network (App named ping monitor on Android) I could come to conclusion that it has something to do with network bands. Despite porting the network thrice, and even trying e-sim the issue couldn't be resolved clearly indicating that its something to do with the device itself.

Samsung blocked unlocking network bands since past one year approx which made things more difficult. The above post came down as real help.

However iI couldn't reach the step to unlock bands, but experimenting with changing the CSC region fixed my issue permanently.
