Just updated, first charging post update...been charging for an hour and charged not even 20% (1% - 19% currently) using an original 45W adapter + cable. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm so upset. Wish there was a way to go back to 6.1. This is crazy. Feels illegal, like I don't even own what I bought, just got effed over with software. Horrid.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Well, this isn't normal nor part of the update. Things aren't always what they appear to be

Have you attempted any troubleshooting?

* Tried other chargers
* Cleared cache partition
* Simple reboot of the device
* Samsung Members diagnostics

Does it say it's charging but not actually charging?

These forums are for customer-to-customer support, not feedback.

Is it cold where you are by any chance? Very low temperatures can cause charging issues which will cause charging time to increase massively.

No, exact same conditions as always. The only variable is the update.

The only thing that has changed is the update, been using it for close to two years without issues. I do not expect it to be resolved. Just wanted to vent before I purchase a different device or a hotfix comes out very soon.

Ok. Do you have any other Samsung phones or devices to test the charger and cable with? From my own personal experience and having a Samsung 45W charger now for over 5 years, I have never experienced any update that has ever broken the charging capability of any of my phones or tablets (Note 10+ 5G, S20/21/22/23/24/25 Ultras, 2xTab S7+ and Tab S8 Ultra).

The problem is—this isn't the normal update issue; it may be for you, but if it were the update as a whole, they would have paused the release again. The forums would be full of complaints.

But anyway, go to the Samsung Members app, Support, Feedback. Let the developers know.

Yes, I work as a smart devices technician. I have a wattage reader at home, went from around 23W most of the time (usually was already charged quite high) to 8W now. I have an unupdated S23+, A55 and a A14 on hand for repairs/to sell. All of those charge at different speeds of course but nothing wrong like my main phone. Worked just fine today before the update, quite literally the only thing that changed.

Guess I'm gonna put on a tinfoil hat cause it literally is.

Okie yes you're right. Every single person on ui7 has charging issue? Grab that hat 🙏 if youre not willing to do any troubleshooting then deal with it
