Am i the only one that hates this new One Ui 7 update

I feel like Samsung is losing its light. I have been using Samsung devices for 10+ years and they were always brilliant and innovative. But recently this innovation has seemed to have completely stopped in favour of playing it safe by sticking close to 'Apples' design standard. The 2 companies have long borrowed features from eachother but i believe that Samsung is going too far with the imitations by making what is essentially the exact same apple watch ultra just called the samsung watch ultra, then pretty much copied airpods entire design language for the buds3. And now with this One Ui 7 update it feels like my phone is turning into an Iphone. Whats next? A new design language for the phone with 3 apple like cameras in that back and a rounded rectangle screen cut out🫩

I personally enjoy it! I don't fully agree with you, but I can see the relation.

I disagree regarding the Ultra watch. Samsung has had Ultra phones for a while...so why the difference with the watch?

Realistically, all brands borrow from each other; it's whatever sells most.

Don't worry too much, I read that Apple is also preparing to completely redesign the iPhone, so Samsung won't look like it anymore 😂

Yes i agree with you on the fact that brands borrow from eachother, but even with the watch ultra example there was never any ultra watch before apple and the bright orange band with the titanium design and the addition of the action/quick button was blatant plagiarism to me

I can respect that view- but the lawsuits which would occure if that was the case would be huge

For me the legality of the 'copying' isnt the issue, its more the shift towards profit over innovation

I believe the biggest difference, to me, is the Galaxy Ring. Compared to Apple and other big brands, that's something Samsung got to first.

I genuinely think we've hit a bit of a brick wall. AI is out, but all brands have that. There are only so many features brands can introduce which actually make an impact.

Yes i think we have hit a wall too but i do not believe its because there are a lack of impactful features that can be created, i believe that it is a lack of funding RnD to find those impactful features in favour of easy and stable profitable ventures like borrowing from eachother and throwing AI as a bandage solution to everything
