ONE U.I. 7 S23U Charging Issues

Just updated, first charging post update...been charging for an hour and charged not even 20% (1% - 19% currently) using an original 45W adapter + cable. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm so upset. Wish there was a way to go back to 6.1. This is crazy. Feels illegal, like I don't even own what I bought, just got effed over with software. Horrid.

That's upsetting indeed. Can you see what charging connection speed it shows on screen when you insert your charger (Superfast charging 2.0?).

Not every single, but how the hell are they taking half a year to release this and then there are lots of people having quite substantial issues. This is ridiculous.  Of course I troubleshooted I'm not just sitting around for half an hour jerking off. Thanks for being an outlet for my frustration although someone that thought it was ok to roll this out should be getting it not a random person trying to help. Don't u think?

Accidentally marked it as a solution...anyways...getting 5V/1,6A rn...and as I have said before, just wanted to vent more or less and give someone searching the same the knowledge that they aren't alone facing those issues. Take care.

Still would be helpful if you checked whether Superfast Charging 2.0 was showing or not.

There are issues in the release—that's a fact. I don't think they intentionally released it with problems.

The reality is you are one of those who have had issues—and that requires sending feedback and also trying generic troubleshooting. Half the issues I've seen here have been fixed by a simple restart...people are fast to complain.

It sounds dumb but some have reported their fast charging being turned off in settings- have you checked it?

Yes. I work in the industry as a repairs tech. I'm well versed in this. Have tried many, many solutions. This is not really asking for help as much as it is just complaining and an outlet. I've been an ***** for which I'm sorry. But yeah. Truly quite upset. Very silly.

Absolutely no apology needed—I enjoy a little back and forth. But yeah, that's fair enough; it is a pain when things simply stop working as they should.

It does say superfast charging, been always getting max 25W (my colleagues as well that do have either ultras or the plus version as well as when we tried customer phones) on multiple original 45W chargers. My native language isn't English yeah superfast is what it says in my langauge when plugged in, "1h 2mins till 100%" which is obviously untrue...

Superfast charging 2.0 is max 45W whilst Superfast Charging 1.0 is 25W. Evenso it does tend to charge a bit higher than 25W. For example my S21 Ultra supports only Superfast Charging 1.0 but can reach around 28W charging speed. All other Ultras which support Superfast Charging 2.0 have typically never exceeded around 35W charging speed, so it's not unusual to see this. The S25 Ultra however is the first Samsung device I've used that does reach 45W charging speeds.
