Just found out S9180 (Asia Hong Kong) do not support eSIM.
S918B/DS has eSIM support.

Some functions and features can be governed by the region the phone is launched in @claw134

The model you mentioned is Dual Sim Only.

So there is no eSim support.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Shame it was not mentioned in the Samsung store(HK) when I purchase it. Wonder if there is any software update to activate such feature or is firmware limited. Is eSim not the way forward in future?

Not sure which is which, but not having eSim feature on a latest phone just not right. Beside regional version is a bit of a con. Especially it means different CPU, surely eSim as a feature does not impose any security issue.

No @claw134 unfortunately esim support cant be added at a later date.

When I imported my Samsung Note²⁰ from Hong Kong into the UK I used Wonda Mobile.. The specs listed showed no eSim support.

The CPU of the Hong Kong S23 Series is different? I was certain that all S23 devices had the same CPU in all regions. It was different with previous devices but not the S23 series. Are you certain of this?

Wherever is stating that, clearly has false information and you shouldn't take any of it as gospel.

Every tech product is regionally targeted so you shouldn't be surprised a phone differs per region too.
