Following the recent software update on my S23 Ultra, I've encountered connectivity issues specifically pertaining to 5GHz wifi networks. Although there are instances when the connection is stable for a brief period, I frequently receive the "Connected without internet" message. Notably, this problem seems exclusive to my S23 Ultra, as all other devices on the network function properly. These complications began after the most recent software update, with the Current version: S918BXXS3AWF7 / S918BOWO3AWF7 / S918BXXS3AWF7, and the Security patch level: July 1, 2023. My device runs on One UI version 5.1.
It's worth noting that I can successfully connect to 2.4GHz networks without any issues. However, the problem exclusively arises when attempting to connect to 5GHz networks. Are there others who have encountered a similar problem? I'm open to any recommendations to resolve this inconvenience.

Restart the router. Depending on the router model there are more setting that can be checked on router side to help. Otherwise I didn't notice any of the issues you mentioned

Hi @Tourbillon De La Vie thanks for your response, sadly I already tried to restart the router multiple times, also the rest of devices in the network are not having any issues. The problem seems to be only with the S23 Ultra, the only thing that is kind of working is forgetting the network in the phone, that works for a while but then the issue reappears, it's something intermittent and I couldn't find an apparent reason behind it. The only thing I'm sure of is that the issue started after upgrading the OS to the latest available version.

Try changing to phone mac under wifi connection setting on your phone under mac address type

Just putting this out there. It may be way off because all the rest of your network is working fine, which it wouldn't be if this were the case: According to NOAA (the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, here in the US), and the UK space weather MET Office, there was a very powerful solar flare on Monday that was an X1.5 class flare, causing an R3 (very strong disruption) radio blackout in the US, Canada, and the Pacific Ocean. "Frequencies below 5 MHZ were most affected and navigation signals degraded."
In addition to two powerful flares like the one above, there have been multiple middle class flares over the last few days.
While these tend to affect lower frequencies, the shear strength and number of them MAY have had something to do with what has happened to you, if your problems began on Monday. Maybe the S23 is more sensitive to disruption from this kind of thing. Or, maybe just yours, for some reason. Manufacturing variability?
Like said above, just FYI. Or, it maybe a problem with your phone or router settings. I think the advice the guys gave is worth a try. Can you reflash the OS update somehow? Maybe there was an undetected error the first time.

Yep same problem, 5Ghz Internet connection shows as no Internet on my S23 Ultra. Switching to the 2.4G connection is restablished to the internet, connecting back to the 5Ghz network works fine again my S22 Ultra is not affected. Router has been rebooted static IP given to S23 Ultra but dropping network a couple of times a day.

Do you use Wifi6 (ax) router? S23 Ultra does not seem able to keep those connections stable 😞

Same problem with wifi. Now tested with separate bands 2.4 works fine, 5 have speed of 2mbs and ping 500+. Tested on different phone (not galaxy) everything works perfect. Not a rooter problem, because have almost best internet in country. Waiting for update if nothing changing then idk
