Hi

So today I made a phone call and couldn't hear anyone on other end. Tried again. Same thing. Did a reboot and same thing. Speakers work fine on phone as do calls through WhatsApp. Just sim calls. I noticed some people reporting this starting yesterday on s21 devices also. Anyone any ideas?? Some have resolved it by swapping their sims to the other slot in sim card tray.

Got a call with doctor tomorrow and now panicking as WhatsApp not an option for that. Grateful for any advice or support thanks

You are correct that some members have reported similar issues to yours.

As well as moving the sim to the secondary sim slot you could also try these troubleshooting steps @Mark TKO

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/my-galaxy-smartphone-has-frozen-how-do-i-restart-i...

Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Connections > Reboot the phone by turning the phone Off and On.

Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

As a process of elimination can you try your sim card in another phone and then if possible try another Sim card in your phone.

There is a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App.

Feedback can be sent from your Samsung Members App too.

Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks. Reset network connections is not an option. Do you mean reset mobile network options?

OK so I checked my sim card in my work phone - iPhone. Same issue couldn't hear anything. Work sim card in my s23 and all was fine could hear calls. So it's the sim card and not the phone. Strange that it started yesterday when others reported it. Thanks for advice

Try selecting 2G/3G as your network mode. It is impacting lots of people and this seems to be the only fix. It is very frustrating. What network are you on out of interest? Let me know if this works for you

Vodafone. I went in and changed my sim card and all now works fine. It does seem odd though others were affected by the same thing starting the same day
