So wanted to share this with you to ask if you think this is right and also ask what do you think I should do going forward.

My samsung galaxy S23 Ultra phone has been having a few issues last few weeks and I noticed a few apps i haven't downloaded and that I cant uninstall either as well as it also been really baggy, so today took my phone back to o2 where I purchased it from to ask for some help on this matter.
First of all they said it was my case lol even though I had the case since I had the phone which I might add is nearly 2 years ๐Ÿ˜… then was asked to take a seat with a tech guy who took a deeper look into my device and he said looks like it might have a deeper virus and that they couldn't do anything and to go across the road to a shop where I have to pay to get it removed and say he sent me and I might get a discount to remove said deep virus ๐Ÿ˜•
Now first of all of this is the case why cant o2 remove this if that being the case or better still why should I actually be paying for this myself when im on a contract with o2 and brought my device from them ๐Ÿค”

Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™

Just reset the phone. A virus cannot stay on a phone after a reset. If things are being buggy or strange, a reset should freshen things up.

Also to say, it won't be a virus. Those don't really exist on modern phones. Modern day viruses are just apps that do bad things, they can't get deep into a phone due to how security is handled.

To be fully correct, they can exist but are only used on valuable targets like company ceos and for spying on journalists. Not the everyday person

For the can't uninstall thing, boot your phone into safe mode (google how to do that, it's a button combo during boot). That should let you uninstall whatever you want.

Again, I'd just say reset the phone

This has already been done not only by myself but also by the staff at o2 and still didnt resolve the issue unfortunately this is why I thought id ask on here.
The tech team in o2 said it was a deep rooted virus and that they couldn't remove it and to visit the shop opposite where they could but that meant me paying for this to be done which in mind is ludicrous as why habe a tech support team in o2 that cant deal with issues like this

Well this is what I also thought to until o2 said different ๐Ÿ˜‚I left the store completely confused and without the issues being resolved so now im still left with a laggy phone, apps I never downloaded that I cant uninstall or disable and like I already mention earlier my device has already been reset twice by myself and also the o2 tech team and still hasn't resolved the problem.

The only apps you can't uninstall are system apps. A virus can't install apps in to the system. What are the apps called.

Shocking how little staff at tech stores know about the things they say. *as someone who works in support and has to deal with the aftermath of such nonsense being said by other staff.

If youre really worried
Backup important stuff, factory reset and reset up device. If you want change passwords too. Sorted.

With android and knox I highly doubt theres a virus in the first place
