My phone seems to be using OS code Apache 2.0, since this i have experienced several issue with my phone and have at times been remotely accessed without permission.
I have tried a soft reset, hard reset, flash and instore support where I was advised if this keeps happening to contact the police. They advised its more than likely someone i know and that's had access to my device. Noone uses my phone apart from me. I had a data exploit on my S7 about 8 years ago and moved to iPhone. I've come back to Samsung and the same thing happens again, the power this OS License holds is scary, apps change, system settings change, phone wipes all data. Even stops me making and receiving phone calls, apps don't send me notifications. After all of this I wanted to take a deeper look and enabled dev mode, only to find that there's several other applications now that delete data.
Only time I manage to gain complete control is when I don't allow background apps and don't allow virtual RAM.
Samsung Support contact centre have been unable to identify the route cause... All I can say is I first noticed that MyEE (I've not been with EE before) is grayed out and doesn't allow me to open or delete the app even in safe mode or after a hard reset.

Just to confirm this is my phone and had no previous owner.

Hello @05bmag and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋

I'm disheartened to hear of the issues your currently experiencing with your phone 😔

https://www.planetcrust.com/what-does-apache-2-0-license-mean.

Privacy and security on our phone's is obviously of paramount importance ,and so it is concerning that your experiencing these issues that you raise.

Is it possible you've inadvertently tapped on a link or downloaded something that's then caused this via some format of embedded code.

Its not always that someone has had possession of your phone.

I wonder if it's possible for a Samsung Service Centre  / Samsung Experience Store to 💯 % flash the phone to put clean software on it 🤔

Occasionally when something takes hold it can take more than home troubleshooting steps to get this resolved.

Personally if this was my situation I'd discontinue use of that phone, and use another phone until Samsung, or the merchant who supplied that phone had resolved this critical issue.

Especially as our phone's hold information provate to the individual including banking apps etc.

Would you let us know how you get on please.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
