So im after some help as my avast app done a scan and picked up malware from a app called shell.
It stated to remove it as it found a malicious code so I tried to do this but it is grey out.
On doubg some digging on Google it had different answers do I'm a tad confused as well as being worried 😟
If anyone can help me out with this I would appreciate it.

Don't panic too much they detect needed software at times. Samsung has a built-in scan?

Hey there, you can use the settings and privacy option in settings, when your in this you can see if samsung itself detects any threats, this is also assited by mcafee anti virus, if there was something to worry about your device would automatically flag it. i will link images below to help you.SmartSelect_20240204_004626_Settings_1000003422_1707007586.pngScreenshot_20240204_004727_Settings_1000003423_1707007647.png

It's not recommended to download an anti virus for a phone. As there's really no need. All Android phones have Google play protect and Samsung phones have their own malware scanner. Third party apps just slow the phone down and give false flags

I personally would keep it for that extra added security, i dont know where this guy found that its not recommended to have AV on your phone, but any normal person would choose to have it.

if its showing that then it must be fine, i wouldn't worry unless you notice yourself any suspicious activity on your device.

As mentioned above, you really don't need real time protection for Android phones. You have built in security on your Samsung, plus Play Protect scans apps you download. Plus, you can enable a feature called App Protection within your phone's settings, which ensures you only have safe apps installed on your phone. I would recommend enabling that for peace of mind.

As for Shell, I'm pretty sure this is built in within your Android structure, so unless you know what you're doing, uninstalling this isn't the best thing to do.

And uninstall Avast! Like mentioned, Play Protect and App Protection are the only 2 main things you need enabled if you're simply an everyday user downloading apps only from the Play Store.
