This is STILL an ongoing issue into April 2025! I have an S23 Fe that isn't even paid off yet through a contract with AT&T that I still owe $400.00 on and I've had it only a year! This hub nonsense started with it just RECENTLY only a week ago with the "moisture in the hub warning" on this piece of ***** phone, and guess what folks, I have/had an expensive WATERPROOF And DUSTPROOF phone cover on it throughout that whole time prior!! (Samsung, Explain how warnings like that can happen out of the blue and so recent, with a waterproof/dustproof cover on it for a year, to me, having it nowhere near water recently, and especially after that recent update(?!), PLEASE!) Sooo, therefore, this is NOT a moisture problem but a recent Samsung UPDATE that led to a "mysterious(?)" and all of a sudden USB MOISTURE PROBLEM(??!!), it has to be! Whether it was intensional or not, if Samsung wishes to keep their long standing customers they ought to stop their mind boggling somewhat deceitful and confusing shenanigan games they are playing with their customers regarding the cleaning hub with pins bs, cache cleaning, etc and all the other which now appear to be lame excuses they are using by forcing their customers to fix their own phones using methods that mostly don't work or don't work for long and SAMSUNG SHOULD FIX this the RIGHT way through an UPDATE ASAP! Afterall their phones AREN'T cheap! Or face lawsuits which may happen by most of us! Then afterwards I'll be switching to an IPhone! There are sooo many complaints posted  all over the web about this issue Samsung! Not only here! And it's not only the S23, S series models! Also I've read posts by those on the web that have taken their Samsung phones to repair shops only to be told that it is a SOFTWARE issue!! SO STOP the nonsense and fix it, PLEASE SAMSUNG!

The moisture warning means the pins in the charge port are making contact. It's telling you to clean the port before you charge it. Decent chance there's some dust or something in your port. This is a perfectly normal feature that protects your device.

Again, it is detecting the electrical contacts in your charge port are making contact with each other.

If samsung waterproofed your charge port, you wouldn't be able to plug anything into it. But water cannot get past the charge port. So the internals will stay just fine.

Clean your port, should fix it

"Samsung Waterproofing the charge port" What? I have no idea what you are talking about, sorry.

I purchased an expensive Waterproof/Dustproof phone case a year ago in which I placed the phone in. (like an "Otterbox", full coverage, built in screen protector, waterproof, dustproof, etc) This phone experienced no problems until after about a week ago, after a recent Samsung UPDATE. So I'm not sure what you are talking about Samsung Waterproofing the charge port??.

I've cleaned it dozens of times since the warning! The only time it has worked is when I've stuck a needle into the charging hub port each time after I plugged it in.. (And who knows how long that will last!) I've never had this problem a week ago prior while in it's waterproof/dustproof case (like an "Otterbox", full coverage) that I had put it in a year ago with the charge port hub covered when not in use. I also realized the warning happened after a recent Update about a week ago. It's quite obvious to me that that update was the reason.

I have also:

Cleared out the hub cache

Sprayed it out with canned air

Switched off "Fast Charging" in settings

Used a toothpick/tissue/rubbing Alcohol to clean the charging port and let it dry

Did a Factory reset

Tried to charge it from a PC

Always made sure to use  Samsung official charger and cord

Used a blow dryer on cool setting

Signed out of Samsung, restarted, then signed back in

I even checked the sim card, slot, etc.

Also, the phone hasn't been near water in several months, while still in its' waterproof/dustproof case and I certainly haven't been rolling it around in a dust bin...

Anything else?

I absolutely refuse to pay for a service call on this phone when I still owe $400.00 on it along with having it only a year!!. Besides,  many posts on the web claimed that when they tried to get their phone repaired, they were told it was a SOFTWARE issue! Then afterwards,  they STILL had to pay a service charge just to have it looked at!

The only fail safe is to use a wireless charger which will make this phone utterly useless using it with Android Auto along with overheating it and frying out the battery!

Samsung,  fix it with an update!

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

I'm sorry to hear of your issues.

Firstly, this is a Customer to Customer Forum so you are not talking to Customer Services. We are customers just like you.

Secondly, this is the UK forum.. As your in the US, laws are very different to here in the UK.

I would recommend you engage on the US Forum to seek help for your question but it sounds to me like your options are limited given the range of things you've tried already. Personally I wonder if you've damaged the port using the needle etc. Sounds like you're going to need to send the device for repair and IF you are out of warranty, it will likely be chargeable. Sorry if that isn't what you want to hear but it is what it is.

Thanks for replying, I didn't realize that this was the EU Samsung Forum and not the US.. I found it through my many frantic searches trying to fix the problem. I also had no problems signing in, so I automatically assumed I was in the US forum. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

The pin method was the first thing to do (I was gentle, along with it being suggested by others) and the only thing that apparently worked aside from everything else I tried in my above post according to what Samsung, etc, suggested, so no, I didn't damage anything in the charging port, otherwise it wouldn't have worked at all from the beginning since it started, to now. Again, I refuse to spend money on this phone while I still owe $400.00 on it and I am certain it's a SOFTWARE update problem.

Anyways, thanks again for clarifying that this is the EU forum, I will take up my issue at the US forum/Customer services. Also, again, I apologize for any misunderstandings. This whole situation has been extremely frustrating for me. I solely rely on my phone, especially for communication and as a GPS through Android Auto.
