I am experiencing difficulties with the notification sounds on my S23 Ultra, as they remain loud even when set to the lowest volume setting, causing inconvenience, particularly during the night.
I am seeking suggestions and recommendations on how to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance for any assistance provided.

@Iitukka: I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue on your Galaxy S23 Ultra. For clarity, have you tried heading to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume > Notifications, and moving the slider to the left to reduce the overall notification volume? If so, is the issue affecting any apps in particular , or are all notification sounds louder than expected?
In the meantime, you may wish to try enabling Do not disturb to prevent any disturbances during the night (Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb > Set your preferences).

I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm using a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G, updated to the most recent android OS.
No matter where the slider is on the bar, the volume for Notifications and System remain the same actual volume, whether the slider is all the way to the left or right.

I'm experiencing the same issue as the OP - I've got an S24+ and since the last update, my ring & notification levels are WAY too loud. I've adjusted the levels in settings to the lowest possible audible level and that doesn't help. I've been a Galaxy user since the S3 so I know how to work them. A quick Google search proves this is clearly a software issue and not a hardware issue.
Thank you for your help!

In further testing I've noticed that the Notification and System tones on my phone are using the Media volume slider. The louder my media the louder the other sounds are.
