Initially when Airplane Mode is enabled wifi and Bluetooth are turned off, the connections though can be turned on via the Settings and obviously a number use these connections on planes.
see some information on this thread https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s23-series/airplane-mode-and-bluetooth/
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

@dubirodri , I've moved this from the original thread it was posted in as it was off-topic for it, and given it a thread of its own here.

No. Turning on airplane mode Wi-Fi doesn't turn off which it should. What is going on. My phone is also saying there's an issue with Wi-Fi when I have Wi-Fi connection when I use the diagnostics what's up Samsung This is ridiculous.

I do now have the same issue.
As soon I set the flight mode , the WiFi is kept and I keel receiving messages through what's app and other apps

@Members_8cWhtzt: While Flight mode is on, you can turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on again in Settings or the Quick Panel.
If you turn Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on or off in Flight mode, this will be remembered the next time you use Flight mode.
With this in mind, please toggle on Flight mode, then toggle off Wi-Fi via the Quick Panel, or by heading to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Off, and this should resolve your issue.
