Is there a way to set up a mode/routine to only sound specific messages?

I would like to set up a mode where all notifications are silent apart from text messages or whatsapp, is this possible as I can't figure out howbto do it?

Have you had a good look in the Modes and Routines Section in the phone's Settings @_Lee_

Yes, I couldn't work out if it was possible.

@_Lee_: You may wish to try heading to Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb > On > Allowed during Do not disturb > App notifications > Add apps > Tap on Messages and WhatsApp > Done. 

Add any other exceptions, such as Calls and messages, and this should hopefully do the trick. Let me know if this helps.
